I was just thinking...
Marriage is about teamwork. In order to accomplish that, you must have mutual goals. Everyone must contribute to the success of "YOUR TEAM".
For instance, if Kobe was the only Laker on the court playing for a championship game, he'd never win. At some point, he would get tired and either sit down or fall down, with no team. But, with a little team effort, he becomes stronger. He knows that someone else is there to help carry the load. Even if he is the MVP, he has support.
Everyone doesn't have to be the star of the show. Every persons role is vital, but it takes support from all players.
No one person should be left to carry the weight...financially, domestically, socially, etc. If they do it alone, all they will feel is drained.
In marriage we should feel like we are being built up, not torn down.
Are you on a team, or are you a drained MVP?
