The Dinner Party...

First of all, who's job is it anyway to invite people to the house? Come on, tell the truth. We all well know that when company comes to the crib, the boss (read the wife) has the final say so. I ain't mad at you, that's just how it is. Well as the story goes, we've invited a few people and the RSVP's aren't just rolling in if you know what I mean. Hmmm, maybe we really are boring people?

So the closer the date gets, the more stressful this "fun" occasion becomes.

"Why don't you do something to help with this party? While you're at it, why don't you do anything period! Why don't you ever do something around this house (besides take out the trash, cut the grass, wash dishes sometimes, take a kid to school, oh yeah, bring in a paycheck...blah blah blah)?..."

Where did all of that come from? What's up with that? I'll do something alright, I'll cancel this thing and won't think twice about it.

Do tell...

In the past, have you ever helped. Maybe Jill is just a little nervous and wants your reassurance.

Tell her you got her and this whole thing on lock, and you will be amazed at how much she will respect YOU for holding it down.

Sometimes (even us wives) don't have all the answers.

Just a thought...

I'll keep that in mind the next time. This dinner party is not gonna happen.
